Left-hand panel shows user accomplishment rates for the tasks outlined in Fig. 2 (n = 32 for all tasks), with Poisson error estimates. Right-hand panel shows the corresponding distribution of task accomplishment times, along with box-and-whisker plots. Whiskers indicate the data range, and box limits indicate the standard error of the distribution. The mean is shown as a solid line, and the median is shown as a dashed line.

The recent tweaks to the KwikVet system, which Alex Soriano referred to as “growing pains,” are par for the course in the iterative world of tech startups: Throw the idea out there, see what sticks, and adjust as you go.
Trimble, who grew up on a dairy, graduated from veterinary school five years ago and is married to a veterinarian. He has had a front-row seat to the economic and professional realities that challenge younger veterinarians. With experience in a traditional clinic and as a house-call veterinarian, Trimble said he created Fuzzy Pet Health to offer veterinarians “control over their future.” The model isn’t about grabbing a visit here and there. Trimble said he “wants to provide a path to full-time.”
The exhibition is fittingly presented in the Sylvia L. Rosen Gallery for Fine Art in Craft Media, named for the Burchfield Penney’s patron whose generous support makes the biennial exhibition possible, as well as collection development. Past recipients of the Langley H. Kenzie Award include Bethany Krull (2010), Karen Donnellan (2012), Jesse Walp (2014), and Jozef Bajus (2016), who respectively work with ceramics, glass, wood, and fiber with recycled materials.
Here’s a game I haven’t played on tabletop because it’s so long and fairly heavy, but the app is stunning, featuring by far the best tutorial I’ve seen. It even has a legitimately funny joke buried within it. Through the Ages is a 4X (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate) style game played out with cards, where you try to build a civilization, complete wonders for points, beat opponents with your military, improve your government, and ensure that your workers don’t riot. There is a lot going on in this game, and too much accounting for my tastes, but the app takes care of that stuff for you, so you can focus just on playing the game itself. It also has built-in warnings if your workers are going to riot or you’re going to lose resources before the next turn. The false 3-D perspective also helps them cram a lot of buildings onto your screen without crowding it. Games against AI players take 20-plus minutes, more than anything else on this list, but there’s very little downtime involved.

The traditional solution (which works very well) is to close the curb idle back to where it just touches the transfer slot and then drill a small initial hole; usually 3/32 inch (0.093-inch) in each primary throttle blade. If the idle speed is still too low, larger holes or two more in the secondary throttle blades can be drilled. It’s also possible to slightly increase the secondary throttle stop to slightly increase airflow but again only enough to avoid opening into the secondary transfer slot. The ideal placement of the closed primary and second throttles should be with the blades uncovering barely 0.030- to 0.040-inch of the transfer slot.
