While Rusted Root is on hiatus, Michael has been devoting his time to creating an entirely new soundscape. Glabicki’s new solo project is aptly titled, Uprooted. This band promises to bring back parts of the Rusted Root of old, but also include more percussion and female vocals. Collectively, the band hopes that the new material will deliver it to a special place that the fans will appreciate. Michael will continue to play Rusted Root’s entire catalogue with freshly inspired versions, as well as introduce new and exciting music under the moniker of Uprooted.

Display has been curated by Nancy Weekly, Burchfield Scholar, Head of Collections & Charles Cary Rumsey Curator at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, and Burchfield Penney Instructor of Museum Studies at SUNY Buffalo State.

The exhibition is fittingly presented in the Sylvia L. Rosen Gallery for Fine Art in Craft Media, named for the Burchfield Penney’s patron whose generous support makes the biennial exhibition possible, as well as collection development. Past recipients of the Langley H. Kenzie Award include Bethany Krull (2010), Karen Donnellan (2012), Jesse Walp (2014), and Jozef Bajus (2016), who respectively work with ceramics, glass, wood, and fiber with recycled materials.

As always, the event will feature plenty of rides and amusements. Popular returning attractions include Hybrid Fitness – Ninja Warrior Academy, Jeff Musial – The Animal Guy, the Bubble Black Light Dance Party, drum line DownBeat Percussion (you may also recognize them as the Buffalo Bills Stampede), the Toddler Zone, and Storybook Characters.

Also be aware that couplings may be subjected to pressures well above the maximum operating pressure. Sudden shifting of valves or abrupt application of heavy loads can cause system pressure to quickly rise and fall within milliseconds. These pressure spikes often go undetected in a system, but still can damage seals and locking elements of the coupling. Ultimately, then, the coupling would develop leaks, become difficult to disconnect or reconnect, or any combination of these. To prevent these problems from occurring, select a coupling with a pressure rating substantially higher than the anticipated maximum operating pressure.
